By sponsoring the Shelter you can be sure that your generous donation will help SAD (Society for Animals in Distress) stay open and able to care for all the animals we currently have and will have in the future.

You will receive a donations receipt for tax purposes at the end of the year.

There are two ways you can give your donation. Either by cheque or you can give us your credit card number and specify the amount and date you wish us to take the monthly donations.

You can rest assured that your credit card information will be kept confidential. You can, at any time, come in to the Shelter or write and ask us to return the credit card information.

There are several ways you can donate to Society for Animals in Distress. Time, money, materials, food for the animals or pet care for the animals. We are always grateful for any donations that come in and are always in need of help. Please give generously, our animals need your help.

Time: You can volunteer to help at the shelter, The Sunshine Shop or be a foster home for one of our animals. We also require drivers, donation pick ups and people to help with fundraising efforts.

You can contact Brandi at the shelter if you would like to donate your time to help at the shelter or get more information on being a foster home for one of our animals at 461-3197. Hours of operation are 8am to 3pm.

You can contact Mary or June at The Sunshine Shop if you want to help with donations pick ups, the store or to donate something to the store at 461-7806. Hours of operation are 10am to 4pm.

Money: You can donate one of three ways. You can donate using paypal or the Canada Helps icons to your right from the comfort of your own home or you can come into the shelter and speak with Brandi about making a financial donation right at the shelter.

Materials: We are in need of white Tremclad paint to finish painting the dog kennels and cement paint for the floors in the kennels. If you can donate your left over materials or brand new materials for this purpose please contact Brandi at the Shelter.

Animal Food: We are always in need of food to feed the dogs and cats we have at the shelter. Puppy and Kitten food, adult cat and dog food, and treats are warmly accepted with gratitude at the shelter. If you can't bring it there you can contact Brandi at the shelter to arrange for pick up by one of our volunteers.

Pet Care Products: We are in serious need of clumping cat litter for the cat room. If you can donate we would greatly appreciate it. If you can't bring it a volunteer would be more than pleased to arrange pick up of your donation. You can contact Brandi at the shelter to make arrangements for pick up.
